Building the Adventure – Three Building Blocks

Facility Building
Your donations will go towards purchasing a camp and, once having been purchased making it into a high adventure landmark!  10 years ago we only dreamed of someday owning a camp.  That day is here.  We have outgrown the weeks available at camps for lease and are limited to the least desirable weeks of the summer.  We are confident that once CYSC owns its own facility we will fill the summer weeks allowing more and more young people to attend.  In doing so, the money spent would not be going to a third party, but would be staying with a Catholic camp to build up Catholic programming.  In addition, this facility would be able to be used year round for high adventure faith programming!

Capacity Building
CYSC is in need of building up its human capacity.  Over the ten years of existence, the success of CYSC has ridden on the backs of volunteers and in some cases minimal stipends.  Whether the summer programs, the monthly programs, or regular retreats, there is a great need to start hiring staff to maintain and grow the ministry.  CYSC would first like to hire an executive director full time.  Instead of working on CYSC in our spare time, we can start working on meaningful, engaging programs full time making an even bigger impact in our diocese and in the lives of youth.

Affordability Building
While owning a camp would help keep costs stable, we know that there are many that will still not be able to financially afford coming to a week of camp.  This is of great concern to CYSC.  Your donations will help with camperships and to keep camp affordable for all.

To make this donation a recurring gift, helping with our month to month sustainability and budgeting, please select that option following your decision on a donation (in this case monthly) amount. Monthly donations will be deposited each month on the date of the first donation, and a monthly subscription may be cancelled at any time by selecting the appropriate option on the email receipt that will generated each month.

Sponsor a Camper
Every year we have students who are unable to attend Catholic Youth Summer Camp due to financial limitations. This year, as economic struggles effect many, we expect that this need will be greater than ever. Please consider making a donation to Catholic Youth Summer Camp by sponsoring a camper. This is truly the most important part of our ministry, and without your help, it is a need that may not be recognized.
