A great staff to camper ratio leads to lifelong friendships and faith experiences

Jesus spoke to his apostles, “I have come so that you might have life, and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10) but so few people are living the full and abundant life Christ has for them.

Small groups and programming gets back to the basics of what’s most important in life through proposing a series of 4 fundamental questions on which the retreat is based: The What, The Who, The Why, and The How.

Question 1: What Will Make Me Happy?

We propose that Happiness is found in a life of virtue and a life with Christ. Happiness is not found in a life of pleasure, wealth, fame, etc. All of these things will fail to satisfy.

Question 2Who Is Jesus?

Is Jesus a liar, a lunatic, or the Lord? We propose that he is the Lord, that Jesus is the Son of God, the image of the perfect life, whose life is worthy of imitation. In and through the cross, we discover what it means to be human. We propose that he is alive and we can have a relationship with him here and now.

Question 3Why are we here?

We propose that the purpose of life is to be a sincere gift to others, that “the son of man has come to serve not to be served.” We propose that to be human is to be a gift and that one can only discover who he is through a sincere gift of self. We were designed and fashioned to give ourselves to others.

Question 4: How Will I Live My Life?

We propose that you should love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength and that you should love your neighbor as yourself. And so we must choose what kind of life we want to live, the life of a hedonist, the life of a humanitarian, the life of a hypocrite, or the life of a Christian.
